Thanks to everyone who attended the first Growers’ Network Skillshare last Thursday. Useful gardening tips and knowledge about understanding soil types and what can be done to improve them, were shared. After setting to work on the newly acquired plot, there was a great working atmosphere and great progress was made. The plot was transformed in no time! After some digging and mulching, the evening was rounded off with hot pancakes with marrow jam cooked in front of the shed by Carolyn, a great evening was had by all. Thanks to those who went. Our first Skillshare will be happening on Thursday 12th May. Meet at Timebank office 18:15 to leave at 18:30 for plot. A chance to share skills and meet up with other people interested in growing food. The first session will focus on planning your growing plot, ground preparation and sowing seeds. The skillshare will take place on the TimeBank allotment plot off Newland Avenue. Bring gardening gloves if you have them.
